To celebrate the U.S. bicentennial, a $2 bill, Series 1976, was introduced and showed the signing of the Declaration of Independence on the back.   The dollar coin with Sacagawea has a copper core clad in an alloy of copper, zinc, manganese, and nickel, giving the coin a golden color.
