The $100,000 Gold Certificate, Series 1934, was used for transactions between Federal Reserve Banks and wasn't used by the general public.   The dollar coin with Sacagawea has a copper core clad in an alloy of copper, zinc, manganese, and nickel, giving the coin a golden color.
